Formerly Casa de Esperanza, Esperanza United mobilizes Latinas and Latin@ communities to end gender-based violence. Formerly Casa de Esperanza, Esperanza United was founded in 1982 by a small group of persevering Latinas as an emergency shelter in St. Paul, Minnesota. Our work is grounded in community strengths and wisdom, as we serve Latin@s locally and nationwide. Our programming spans the continuum of intervention and prevention, from family advocacy to policy and research.
The Latino Economic Development Center’s (LEDC) mission is to create economic opportunity for Latinos by fostering entrepreneurship growth, workforce advancement, education opportunities, and supporting business development as a vehicle for reducing social and economic disparities.
LEDC is Latino-led and the only Latino-focused community development financial institution (CDFI) in the region. During the pandemic we have served as an emergency funding and resource hub for the BIPOC community.
We are Latinx leaders across all sectors who join together to create innovative strategies to drive and define policies and perceptions that advance Latino collective influence, success and power.
